Cheats: Several cheats are missing in Castaway Stories, such as testingcheatsenabled and moveobjects. It is possible to be abducted during Story Mode, but if a man is abducted, they will not start pregnancy until after Story Mode is completed. Like in the original game, men who are abducted will come back pregnant with an alien baby. Alien Abduction: After you discover the telescope (it’s a Story Reward - see below), it becomes possible to be abducted by aliens. In addition to these objects, Sims can purchase ReNuYu Porta-Chugs for 3500 Aspiration Points. The Weathernaught 57X, from Seasons, is also available but under the name “Ignis Ex Machina” as a Story Reward (see below). They are the Noodlesoother, Smart Milk, Cool Shades, Energizer, Thinking Cap, SimVac, Love Tub and Elixir of Life. Aspiration Rewards: After Story Mode, your Sim will be able to use Aspiration Points to purchase Aspiration Rewards. During Story Mode, your Sim will have Goals as well, which are like Wants that guide the direction of the story and must be completed before you can move on. Wants: Sims no longer have Fears, but they still have Aspiration Meters and 4 Want Slots (+ one Want Lock). During Story Mode, visiting and discovering Community Lots is a major part of gameplay. Community Lots: Once you’ve finished Story Mode, Sims still go to Community Lots to socialise, meet pets (see below) and buy groceries/new clothes. However, once they reach a certain point in their Career Track it becomes impossible to be promoted until they become an Adult. However, unique to CS, Teenage Sims are not also restricted to those jobs they can get the same jobs as Adults. 
Like in the regular Sims 2 game, Elders have a different spectrum of jobs than Adults, and can only be promoted twice. While Job Performance and promotions still exit, there are no penalties for missing days of work. You will receive a notification of when it is time for your Sim to leave for work, and then one more reminder if they miss it your Sim will automatically start to go to work after these notifications and there are no other ways to make them go to work if you cancel the actions.
Careers: Your Sims can still get a typical job, but there are differences (see below under “minor differences”). If you have something you’d like to add to the list, or a correction/clause, please let me know! Castaway Stories has some things in common with the original Sims 2 game(s), and some things are unique and different, so I decided to make a list for people who are considering buying the game, or just interested.
